A virtual consultation gives you a low-pressure starting point. Our team will review your smile, share what we notice, and help you understand what your next step could look like. No sales pitch. No commitment. Just thoughtful feedback from a team that values your time.
What we can evaluate from your video
A short video can give our prosthodontists a helpful first look at your smile. We may be able to evaluate:
- Tooth shape, size, and symmetry
- Staining or discoloration
- Chips, cracks, gaps, or visible wear
- Gum line appearance
- Whether veneers, bonding, crowns, implants, or
- Invisalign may be worth exploring

What happens at an in-office cosmetic consultation
If the virtual review points to treatment, or you’d rather start in person, the next step is a cosmetic consultation at our Center City, Bryn Mawr, or Devon office. It takes about an hour. Here is how it runs.
The first 15 minutes: what bothers you
You sit down with your prosthodontist, not a treatment coordinator, and talk about what you’d change. Bring photos of your smile from years ago if you have them, or of smiles you like. The conversation is about your goals before anything clinical.
Records and imaging
We take a series of photographs of your smile and face, a digital scan of both arches (no impression trays), and digital X-rays. If implants, gum work, or a bite change are on the table, a 3D CT scan is added. These records let us design your smile on screen and check that the plan will work with your bite, not just look good in a photo.
The exam
Your prosthodontist checks the health of your teeth and gums, how your teeth meet, signs of grinding or wear, and any existing dental work. Cosmetic treatment on an unhealthy foundation fails, so anything that needs attention first goes into the plan.
The preview
For veneer and makeover cases, we show you a digital design of the proposed result on your own teeth. You can ask for teeth to be longer, shorter, squarer, or softer before anything is made. Many patients later wear a temporary version of that design for a week or two to test-drive it.
What you leave with
A written treatment plan that lists every step, the order they happen in, the number of visits, the timeline, and the full price, along with the financing options available through CareCredit, Sunbit, and Proceed Financial. If there’s a simpler or less expensive way to get most of the result, it’s on the page too.
If you decide not to proceed
Nothing happens. The plan is yours to think about, and there’s no follow-up pressure. Some patients come back in six months; some come back in three years. The records stay on file so you don’t start from scratch.

What does an in-office cosmetic consultation cost?
The virtual smile consultation is complimentary. An in-office cosmetic consultation includes a full exam, photographs, and digital scans, and our team will tell you the consultation fee when you book. Implant consultations are complimentary.
Will I see a preview of my new smile?
Yes, for veneer and smile makeover cases. Your consultation includes a digital design of the proposed result on your own teeth, and you approve the shape and length of each tooth before anything permanent is made. Many patients also wear a temporary version to test it in real life.
Do I have to commit to treatment at the consultation?
No. You leave with a written plan and pricing, and the decision is yours on your own timeline. There’s no deposit required to receive the plan and no follow-up pressure if you decide to wait.
